Stamps for the Wounded (SFTW) relies on donations in order to provide stamps and supplies to veterans. SFTW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

All donations will be acknowledged. It may take as long as 8 weeks for donation acknowledgments to be sent. Please be sure that we have your name and postal address with your donation.

What Do We Need?

The following kinds of donations are needed:

  • Used postage stamps saved from the mail
  • Stamps, covers and other items from stamp collections
  • New and gently used philatelic supplies (album pages, mounts, hinges, stock books, perforation gauges, tongs, etc.)
  • Philatelic literature (catalogues and reference books but not philatelic magazines or newspapers)
  • Cash donations to help with operating costs

How To Send Donations

By U.S. Postal Service

Stamps for the Wounded
P.O. Box 297
Dunn Loring, VA 22027-0297

Please do not use any other address (specifically, in Silver Spring, MD) unless you have been instructed to do so by an SFTW volunteer.

If you have sent a parcel to the Falls Church address, do not be concerned … we continue to receive and process those donations. However, please start to use the Dunn Loring address for all donations.

Drop Off in Person

If you are in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area, it is possible to drop off donations with us at stamp that when we attend. We post announcements of the stamp shows we will attend in the News section of our web site.

We do not have the ability to receive donations “in person” in other parts of the USA.
